Co-Founder, Jetstream Africa
Raquel Wilson helps extraordinary thinkers and innovators build sustainable brands, and connects businesses to consumers and opportunities on the African continent. She is Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Accra-based Jetstream Africa, a data-driven supply chain platform that simplifies sourcing of African agriculture for international food buyers.
Prior to Jetstream, Raquel co-founded and served as Managing Partner at Lou Bess? Dakar, Senegal’s first farmers market, where she played a vital role in designing a community-focused approach to organizing a monthly event promoting economic growth for local food producers; and in 2016, joined the official Senegalese delegation to Slow Food International’s biennial convening of activist disrupting challenges in food systems around the world.
Raquel was a Fellow at MEST Africa, and serves as adviser and mentor to a number of technology startups across East and West Africa. She is an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Consultant with the Robinson (+) Consulting Group; Communications Advisor for Kinaya Labs’ Spring Fellowship; worked with UNICEF as a Digital Strategy Consultant; and was a Diplomat working on hate crime monitoring at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights in Warsaw, Poland.
She is based in Dakar, Senegal.
