Olajumoke Adenowo (born 1968) is one of Nigeria’s most prominent architects. At age 14 she enrolled to study Architecture at the University of Ife, where she also completed her postgraduate studies, gaining an MSc in Architecture.

In 1994 Adenowo founded AD Consulting, of which she is now Principal Partner. In parallel to growing AD Consulting as Nigeria’s leading architectural practice, she has started Awesome Treasures, a philanthropic foundation focused on working with disadvantaged women and children.
She is also known as an author, broadcaster and public speaker. In 2018 she was invited to be one of the judges of the prestigious Cartier Women’s Initiative Award.

Key achievements:
As an architect Adenowo’s portfolio includes a host of multi-national and Nigerian clients including Coca Cola, L’Oreal, The Nigerian Stock Exchange, Sterling Bank Plc and Intercontinental Bank Plc.

She is the winner of a number of awards for her work including the International Property Awards (Best Public Service Architecture, 2012), African Property Awards (Best Mixed-Use Architecture), two IDEA Awards (Best Commercial Designer 2012), (Best Interior Architect 2013), (The Ekiti State Merit Awards 2014), and a further IDEA Award (Best Institutional Architect 2014).

Adenowo is also the recipient of the Cambridge African Society Award and has been honored as an Ambassador of Excellence for outstanding achievements in Architecture and women development by her alma mater.
As a philanthropist, she runs a number of programmes in Nigeria promoting health education, business training and leadership skills, including The Awesome Treasures Foundation’s Camp Dawn, and Awesome Princesses.

As an author Adenowo has published 5 books, in addition to being a popular broadcaster and public speaker.
She is an alumnus of a number of prestigious institutions including the Yale School of Management, The IESE Business School, University of Navarra, Barcelona, and the Lagos Business School Chief Executive Programme.

Media: Adenowo has been labelled ‘Africa’s Starchitect’ by CNN, while Nigeria’s The Guardian labelled her as ‘the face of architecture in Nigeria’. She was also featured in Architectual Record, the world’s leading architectural journal.
She is married to Olukorede Adenowo. They have two sons.
