She is the co-founder and Executive Director of Moz Innovation Lab, the first private accelerator building a portfolio of investable companies for food security in Mozambique, having investments in circular economy solutions, hydroponics and an Agritech platform. Elena is a dynamic economist and trainer, who has vast international experience managing projects for corporate and non-corporate sector organizations in over 20 Countries in the European and African markets.
She is a guest lecturer and MBA students supervisors at the Wits Business School in Johannesburg, where she had earned a Master of Management cum laude in Entrepreneurship and New Venture Creation, and her research on social innovation and learning organizations had been published on international academic journals. Elena is one of the founding members of the Global Shapers Hub in Maputo, where she lead the implementation of several projects to empower young entrepreneurs. She calls herself a MomPreneur, living diversity and advocating for it across religion, continents, culture, color of skin.
