Beatrice Marshall is a Global News Anchor for China’s international news organisation, China Global Television Network, CGTN NEWS and is based in the channel’s Africa Headquarters, Nairobi. She anchors “Africa Live” on CGTN NEWS, a daily Global News program that gives viewers a deeper perspective of the news and views of Africa. Ms Marshall is also the host of “Talk Africa”, a weekly talk show that provides global viewers with an inside look at social, economic and political events shaping the African continent. She has interviewed 20 sitting African Heads of State and Governments, among other leading African politicians, decision-makers & thought-leaders.

Ms Marshall joined CGTN NEWS with a wealth of regional and international expertise of over 15 years in journalism, covering major events across Africa. She is also a regular contributor to global events, among them, hosting and moderating at Presidential and Ministerial levels; among them, at the G20 –Africa partnership in Berlin Germany (2017), The UN environment assembly in Nairobi (2017), the UN conference on trade and development UNCTAD 14 in Nairobi, TICAD V1 (Tokyo International Conference on African Development) in Nairobi, an African Ministerial panel at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 22) in Marrakesh (2016), The UN World Urban Forum in Colombia (WUF 7) and WUF 9 in Kuala Lumpur (2018), moderating panels annually at the World Economic Forum on Africa (WEF) since 2014, and the Africa CEO Forum in Geneva since 2013, as well as the New York Forum on Africa among others. Beatrice has covered numerous high level events including the annual African Union Heads of State summits since 2012, China’s one belt one road summit (2017) in Beijing, The Forum on China and Africa cooperation (FOCAC) 2015 and 2018, and the BRICS Summits in South Africa 2013 and 2018.
