PepsiCo first arrived in Egypt 70 years ago, introducing Pepsi to the Egyptian market in 1948. In the past four years, Pepsico Egypt has invested over USD 600 Million in the country from 2014 to 2017 and it is planned to invest over USD 500 Million during the coming four years from 2018 till 2021.

Entrenching its global strategy within the Egyptian market, PepsiCo has been highly committed to the overall wellbeing of Egyptians by carrying out several programs aimed at developing and enhancing the capabilities of people; with a special focus on Sports and Education. This comes in line with its flagship programs “Pepsi Football Schools League” and “Tomooh” respectively. In partnership with the Ministry of Education, Pepsi Football Schools League has reached over one million students in the past 15 years, and a committee of football experts who scout around 25 talented players annually, PepsiCo provided 12 super stars who are leading the Egyptian team.
Partnering with the UN World food Program, PepsiCo’s Tomooh Education Program provides monthly food supplies to families in penurious areas in Upper Egypt, encouraging them to enroll and keep their children in schools; moreover the program distributes date bars as in school snacks for children. Tomooh has had vital role in helping more than 200,000 students, more of which 50% were females, throughout the past 10 years.
Due to our sincere belief that our source of strength is highly dependent on the diversity human resources, 41% of our female workforces are in managerial positions along with our Enable program in collaboration with “Helm Foundation” that aims to provide special development for our differently abled employees.
With further special attention directed to saving resources for future generations to come, PepsiCo Egypt has managed to save more than two billion liters of water and approximately 80 million kilowatt hours of energy in the past three years.
PepsiCo continues its strong commitment to the Egyptian market and consumers and heavily invests in healthy nutritious products such as: dairy, yoghurt and juice. This takes place through a joint venture with AlMarai International Dairy & Juice, which owns Beyti the Egyptian dairy & juice company.
