The inaugural Africa 2016, brought together more than 1,200 public and private sector high-level delegates from 45 countries. Africa 2016 was attend by 6 Heads of State including Egypt, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Nigeria and Sudan, in addition to His Highness the Aga Khan, 45 ministers and dignitaries, including heads of international organizations, 97 high level speakers representing 30 countries, 522 members of local, regional and international media.

Over 300 meetings were organized; 100 private/private and private/ government meetings were organized onsite, and 200 private/private meetings were organized through Africa 2016 B2B platform. In addition to signing 7 MoUs between African governments and private sector in energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and waste management.
